Florida Panthers fans can celebrate the team’s Stanley Cup win with a parade Sunday in Fort Lauderdale.
According to a Panthers spokeswoman, the parade will be at 11 a.m. Sunday in Fort Lauderdale. It will follow a route of about 2 mph, starting at Riomar Street and concluding at Southeast Fifth Street. The entire team is expected to ride in the parade.
Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis initially confirmed that the parade would occur on Sunday. On Tuesday morning, he spent time with team members celebrating at the renowned Elbo Room, with the Stanley Cup displayed on the second-floor balcony. He mentioned that he came down to congratulate them and noted that they were ecstatic.
